Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, in Ilorin on Sunday, the governor described Ogbeh’s death as a great loss to the North Central region, praising him as a statesman, a respected thinker, and a committed nationalist.

“Chief Audu Ogbeh was a dependable leader for our region. He commanded the respect of all because of his exemplary leadership and dedicated service to the nation, particularly during his tenure as Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development,” AbdulRazaq said.

The governor conveyed his sincere condolences to the people and government of Benue State, as well as to Ogbeh’s family and associates. He prayed for divine strength and comfort for them during this difficult time.

AbdulRazaq noted that the late minister played pivotal roles in unlocking the potential of the agricultural sector and advancing opportunities within it, while also making a lasting contribution to the growth of the North Central region. He affirmed that Ogbeh’s legacy would endure.

Reflecting on his national service, AbdulRazaq recalled that Ogbeh made significant contributions to Nigeria’s development, including during the military era, and will be remembered for his steadfastness and unwavering commitment to the country.
