The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has mobilised support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the party’s governorship candidate, Sen. Sharafadeen Alli and APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Oyo APC rally, held on Thursday in Ogbomosho and organised by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Chief Sunday Dare, drew prominent political figures, party leaders, and supporters.
Dignitaries present included former Oyo State Deputy Governor, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan; Hon. Olusegun Odebunmi; Senator Yusuf Brimmo; Hon. Olamujuwonlo Alao-Akala; and Oyo North APC Senatorial candidate, Mrs Hannah Ogunesan, among others.
As part of the programme, the organisers distributed food items, including rice, beans, semovita, garri, and cooking oil, to residents. They also distributed over 1,000 bags of foodstuffs.
The programme also featured the distribution of tilling machines and generators to youths, alongside the opening of new classrooms at Ikoyi Grammar School and Lasubu-Alada Community Grammar School in Ogbomoso.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Sunday Dare urged eligible voters to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and vote for President Tinubu, Alli and all APC candidates at the forthcoming polls.
He highlighted several reforms and developments by the President, including the ongoing Ibadan–Ogbomoso Road project, which he described as one of the projects being undertaken under Tinubu’s administration.
He also cited the Federal Government’s student loan scheme and the increase in the monthly allowance of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members as examples of the administration’s initiatives.
Other speakers at the event urged people in the state not to give room to opposition parties, but to unite and vote massively for all APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
They said President Tinubu and the APC have embarked on several reforms that have taken the nation to greater heights, hence the need to consolidate these reforms in 2027.
The organiser also commended APC leaders in Oyo State for their hard work and dedication to the party’s growth and development.
