Aiyedatiwa hosts City Boy Movement, pledges massive votes for Tinubu in Ondo

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has announced that Ondo State is deploying its full government machinery to ensure a decisive victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
The Governor revealed this on Friday during a courtesy visit by the Ondo State chapter of the City Boy Movement, a pro-Tinubu political group, at the Governor’s Office in Akure.
The delegation, led by state coordinators Mr Oluwafemi Ayejusunle and Hon. Tomide Akinribido, sought the state government’s collaboration to strengthen their grassroots mobilisation and sensitisation efforts.
Formally declaring a campaign themed “Ondo For Tinubu 2027”, Governor Aiyedatiwa said that the tangible dividends of democracy delivered by his administration would serve as the primary catalyst for the President’s success in the state.
He linked the state’s infrastructural developments and job creation directly to the political viability of APC’s national agenda.
“Our people are seeing and feeling the impact of good governance. From road projects to health, education, and empowerment, we are building a foundation that makes it easy to sell the Renewed Hope message in Ondo State,” the Governor said.
Expanding on this, Aiyedatiwa asserted that every administrative success translates into political capital for the presidency.
“Every action we take that impact the people positively is a vote for the president. Every of the 6,000 jobs we have created is a vote for the president. Every road we build attract votes for the president. Every political appointment we make has multiplier effects that translate to more votes for the president,” he added.
The Governor further assured the City Boy Movement and other affiliated support groups that they would be fully integrated into the state’s political strategy and provided with the necessary backing to succeed in their mobilisation drives.
In response, Mr Ayejusunle commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for his exemplary leadership and for ensuring that Ondo State remains synchronised with the federal government’s progressive goals. He pledged that the movement would scale up its outreach to ensure the APC retains its stronghold in the state.
The high-level meeting was attended by several top government officials, including Deputy Governor Dr Olayide Adelami, the Secretary to the State Government Dr Taiwo Fasoranti, and the Commissioner for Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, Engr Abiola Olawoye.
Details of the meeting were revealed in a press statement signed by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan.
