2027: ARISE With Renewed Hope Initiative takes off in Akwa Ibom

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD, has reiterated that peace and unity remain the foundation for sustainable development in the state, expressing confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will record sweeping Victories in the 2027 general elections.
Governor Eno spoke on Monday at the Government House, Uyo, while receiving members of the ARISE With Renewed Hope Initiative, a socio-political movement formed to mobilise grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, the governor himself, and other APC candidates.
He described the group as a symbol of unity and a strategic platform for consolidating development in Akwa Ibom State.
“This group reflects the true Akwa Ibom spirit of unity. Peace and togetherness are the drivers of development, and with this unity, we will achieve seamless elections and massive victories for President Tinubu, Senator Godswill Akpabio, myself and other APC candidates,” Governor Eno said.
The governor urged residents of the state to actively participate in the INEC e-registration exercise, stressing that massive civic participation would strengthen the democratic process and ensure victory at the polls.
Earlier, President General of the group, Engr. Uwem Okoko, said the ARISE With Renewed Hope Initiative was created to deliver overwhelming electoral victories for the APC in 2027.
He praised President Tinubu’s administration for integrating Akwa Ibom effectively into the federal structure, highlighting the emergence of Godswill Akpabio as Senate President as a major milestone for the state.
“Akwa Ibom stands solidly with President Bola Tinubu for a second term, Senator Akpabio for re-election and continuity as Senate President, and Governor Umo Eno to consolidate on his impressive leadership beyond 2027,” Okoko stated.
He added that the group is confident the APC will win all 26 seats in the State House of Assembly, 10 House of Representatives seats, and the three senatorial seats in the state.
Also speaking, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Sir Victor Antai, said the unity fostered by Governor Umo Eno and Senator Akpabio has reshaped Akwa Ibom’s political landscape and positioned the state for greater development.
“This gathering marks the beginning of a new political history. In 2027, we will stand firmly behind all APC candidates for total victory,” Antai said.
In his remarks, the APC State Chairman, Obong Stephen Ntuekpo, assured members of the ARISE With Renewed Hope Initiative of full inclusion in the party’s campaign structure, describing the group as a valuable force in the journey toward electoral success.
“This group will play a significant role in our campaign structure. Together, we will work in synergy to ensure victory across the state,” Ntuekpo assured.
The initiative’s leadership includes Rt. Hon. Sir Udo Kierian as International Coordinator, with other BOT members such as Rt. Hon. Otobong Bob, Sir Monday Uko, Prof. Eno Ibanga, Chief Saviour Enyiekere, and Prince Enobong Uwah as Secretary-General.
The group announced plans to visit the Senate President, embark on a local government tour, and conclude activities with a grand launch ahead of the 2027 elections.
