The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has affirmed Tolulope Adekanmbi as its consensus governorship candidate for the 2027 gubernatorial election in Oyo State.
The decision was ratified during the party’s state congress held in Ibadan, the state capital, following a unanimous vote by delegates from all 33 local government areas of the state.
Speaking after his affirmation, Adekanmbi expressed gratitude to the party leadership and members for the confidence reposed in him.
He promised to run an inclusive campaign and deliver robust governance that prioritizes economic development, youth empowerment, and improved infrastructure if elected.
The National Chairman of the APM commended the Oyo State chapter for conducting a peaceful and transparent process.
He stated that the early affirmation of its candidate demonstrates the party’s readiness to present a formidable alternative to the people of Oyo State and challenge the dominant political parties in the 2027 polls.
Party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters at the venue expressed optimism about the APM’s prospects, describing Adekanmbi as a visionary leader capable of driving progress and sustainable growth across the state.
