Eleven ships laden with petroleum products and food items have arrived at the Apapa, Tin Can Island, and Lekki ports in Lagos, waiting to discharge their contents.

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) disclosed this in its daily Shipping Position publication made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Lagos.

According to the document, the vessels are currently waiting to berth with cargoes including fresh fish, diesel, bulk salt, bulk sugar, bulk wheat, bulk pallets, and containers of general goods.

The NPA further projected that 31 additional ships are expected to arrive at the Lagos Pilotage District between January 13 and January 27.

These incoming vessels are carrying a variety of commodities, including bulk wheat, bulk urea, aviation fuel, petrol, crude oil, bulk gypsum, and containerized goods.

Additionally, the Authority reported that 22 other ships are already at the berths discharging consignments ranging from diesel, gasoline, and crude oil to soya beans, fresh fish, and bulk fertilizer.
