Youths’ll set agenda for incoming president, Tinubu — Yahaya Bello

The Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello disclosed that the youths will set agenda for the incoming President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu after the 2023 General Elections.
Tinubu is the All Progressive Party (APC) Presidential Candidate for the 2023 election. He made the disclosure during the 2021 Blueprint Annual Public Lectures and Impact series Awards held in Abuja on Tuesday.
The Governor said, “Our role number one is to elect, vote that leader who you know to be able to ensure fair and equitable administration.
“Go out there and elect Sen. Ahmed Bola Tinubu, that is the rule number one, then we the Youths will set agenda for the incoming president, Tinubu and we’ll hold him accountable as youths.
He stressed that some people can decide to hate Tinubu but can’t take his success away.
The Governor who is one of the discussant on the theme ‘2023 Politics, National Security and Nigeria’s stability’ called on the Political elites to decide where Nigeria will become in the future.
He said, “We, the Political elites in 2023, should decide that Nigeria should be and Nigeria will be. We should avoid dividing the masses on religious and ethnicity.”
According to him, the issue of Muslim-Muslim or Christian-Christian ticket is perceived from a sentimental angle without having sound argument.
On insecurity, Gov. Bello emphasized that he is synergizing with the security architectures in the state to eliminate the miscreants in the forests posing threat to peaceful existence of the people.
