Upsurge Global holds annual national leadership summit

Upsurge Global is set to hold its 2022 National Leadership Summit, bringing together international public speakers, young politicians, experienced entrepreneurs, founders of international organizations, and connecting them with young people from across the country.

Upsurge Leadership Foundation, popularly known as Upsurge Global, is a youth-led NGO that focuses on youth empowerment through education and leadership training. This month, they are set to hold their annual leadership summit, and their first in-person summit since the start of the pandemic.

The National Leadership Summit is an event put together for high school and University students, to enable them address leadership challenges in the country and beyond. Through this Summit, young people from across the country will gather to learn from leading individuals in the society, and network with other innovative minds.

NLS 2022 will bring together a number of schools to a single venue as a gathering of eagles and will also be a platform to learn about exceptional value-based leadership and how they can model it. Moreso, students from different schools will also compete for the debater of the year award on the topic, “Is a university degree essential for creating and executing innovative entrepreneurial ideas in a country like Nigeria?”

This youth-led Aliu Toluwani Victor (Victor Regal) organization recognises the many governance, educational, and economical issues present in the country and are training young people to take up vital positions.

During the summit, there will be Keynote speeches from reputable global leaders, Panel discussions, Leadership sessions, Competitions, Award presentations, Networking opportunities, and more.

The team has brought together a wealth of speakers and they include Engineer Abiodun Fijabi (International and Award winning public speaker), Seun Fakorede (Hon. Commissioner for Youths and Sports), Ayo Arikawe (Co-Founder and CTO Thrive Agric Limited), Adekunle Alex James (Former Media Aide to Sen. Prince Gbolahan Dada), Femi Adeyeye (National Publicity Secretary, AAC), Dr. Oluremi Olutimo, (Secretary-General, United Nations Association of Nigeria), Victor Ayodeji Oritedi (Business Development Specialist), Olamide Olayinka (CEO, Kashbase), Emeka Osaii (Founder, Campus Lab), and Dr. Omopeju Afanu (Vice President, United Nations Association of Nigeria).

The event is themed: “Promoting Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Global Change.”

The summit will hold on the 31st of March, 2022 at the International Conference Center, Lead City University, Ibadan, and will be preceded by their Royal Leadership Fellowship.
