Unity, Security of  Nigerian  topmost priority, says Ortom

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has disclosed that  unity and security  for lives and property of Nigeria citizens should be the topmost priority of all Governors in the country irrespective of religion, ethnicity or political affiliations.

Ortom made the disclosure on Wednesday while fielding questions from Journalists shortly after his arrival at the Makurdi Airport  from Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State where he had a reconciliatory meeting with his Bauchi State counterpart, Senator Bala Mohammed at the instance of Rivers State  Governor Nyesom Wike.

Ortom noted that at a time where Nigeria is facing serious security challenges, it was better for him and his colleague to sheathe their swords and work for a better Nigeria

” In politics, there is no permanent enemy”  Ortom stressed.

He stated that his administration would continue to give logistics support to security agencies to eliminate criminal elements operating in Sankera axis and other parts of the state.

He consoled the Senator representing Benue North East, Senator Gabriel Suswam and the Attached family over the gruesome murder of his elder brother, Dr. Terkula Suswam by unknown gunmen, pointing out that the assailants must be apprehended and made to face the wrath of the law
