A 200 level student and his Fulani herdsman accomplice have been arrested for kidnap and murder of his two nephews.

The student of Kwara State University, Usman Muyideen who is a younger brother to one of the children’s fathers and his Fulani friend, Isa Memudu kidnapped the teenage boys on Monday and asked for N25 million ransom.

The victims, Thompson Onibokun, 13 and Samson Onibokun, 12 were kidnapped at Iludun Area of Osogbo, Osun State.

According to Muyideen, an indigene of Iragbiji in Osun State said, the victims “one of them is my elder brother’s son while the other was my brother’s stepson.

“I called them and took them on a motorcycle. We took them to a place inside the bush at Coker village.

“I was the one who called the father for ransom. We left them in the bush and went there to feed them.

“We were not there when they died, so we stopped going there, and I stopped calling their father,” Muyideen told newsmen.

Speaking with journalists while paraded by police at Osun State Police headquarters in Osogbo on Friday, the herdsman, Isa, confessed that he was the one who cited the village.

“We took them to a bush in Coker village and we were there for four days. I know the bush because I always take cows to graze around the area.

“For four days, we fed the children with bread and Big Cola. I wanted to use the ransom to start a business.

“The boys died when they were trying to struggle out of the rope,” he said.
