
UAE President to visit Nigeria as bilateral ties strengthen

Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has recently traveled to Abu Dhabi at the invitation of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
His visit coincided with Sustainability Week, an international forum focused on promoting sustainable development and addressing global issues such as climate change, energy, and water crises.
During the event, President Tinubu presented Nigeria’s stance on climate change and other pressing global concerns.
He also commended the UAE leader for successfully hosting the summit.
In a meeting between the two leaders, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed appreciation for President Tinubu’s visit and reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening economic ties with Nigeria.
Discussions centered on fostering investments and expanding economic cooperation between the two nations.
President Tinubu highlighted the positive impact of his administration’s economic reforms, noting that these measures have contributed to stability and growth, making Nigeria more attractive to investors.
He called on the UAE to explore economic partnerships that would further drive Nigeria’s development.
Acknowledging the warm hospitality extended to him and his delegation, President Tinubu expressed gratitude to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The Nigerian delegation included Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Tuggar, Minister of Finance Wale Edun, and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu.
The UAE President was also accompanied by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with other senior officials.
This diplomatic engagement signals a renewed commitment to deepening Nigeria-UAE relations, particularly in economic collaboration and investment opportunities.
