NewsDirect Global Concepts Limited began publication of Nigerian NewsDirect, a daily newspaper on Nov 29, 2010 with news from oil, gas, power, aviation, maritime, banking, education, capital market, entertainment, tourism, taxation and politics among others.

The online edition ( https://nigeriannewsdirect.com ) is being updated every 30 minutes as a leading newspaper in Nigeria in recognition of the importance of accurate information on investment and business decision making.

The Founding Publisher/Editor-in-Chief Dr. Samuel Ibiyemi, a former Deputy Editor of Financial Standard and Group Business Editor of Nigerian Tribune started his journalism career as a staff writer with Industrial Leaders Magazine.

Dr Ibiyemi (Energy Economist) attended Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and University of Lagos. He has also attended courses and International Conferences in several countries including US, UK, UAE, Qatar, Russia Federation, China, Singapore and Austria among others.

Since commencement of publication, Nigerian NewsDirect had continued to expand circulation from the humble beginning of 32 pages of 5,000 copies per week to 48 pages of 35,000 per week in December 2012 and hit 40,000 on July 1, 2014 with 56 pages. Nigerian NewsDirect has offices nationwide and Washington DC (USA).

As a leading newspaper rolling out in-depth analyses, interviews and investigative stories every week, each edition of Nigerian NewsDirect continues to serve as a good source of research through the publication of several Special Reports on various sectors of the global economy, guiding decision makers in the choice of investment.

These reports were circulated in the past during the annual Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, Texas (USA), World Petroleum Congress in Doha, Qatar and annual meetings of the IMF/World Bank in Washington DC, USA among others. Many reporters of Nigerian NewsDirect are winners of highly competitive awards in the journalism profession.
