Tinubu’s tenure as ECOWAS Chairman will usher in peace, stability, economic growth in sub-region – Kazeem Raji

An Oyo State born accomplished Telecommunications, ICT and digital economy expert, Hon Kazeem Kolawole Raji has joined other world leaders to celebrate the emergence of President Bola Tinubu as the new Chairman of Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) over the weekend at Guinea Bissau

The APC chieftain said that the coming on board of President Tinubu would no doubt engender greater regional integration, peace and economic prosperity for the member States.

Hon Kazeem Raji, the erstwhile Director, National Youth Mobilisation, South West of the APC Presidential Campaign Council during the 2023 Presidential Campaign and Director General, Grand Alliance for Tinubu-Shettima 2023 disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Wednesday.

Raji, in the statement was upbeat on the undisputable capacity of President Tinubu to birth a new dawn in regional integration and economic prosperity in the sub-region.

It would be recalled that President Tinubu emerged by a unanimous decision of member states at the 63rd summit of Authority of heads of states and government of the regional body in Bissau, Guinea Bissau last Saturday.

‘Let me start by felicititating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over yet another feat recorded with his emergence as the Chairman of the Authority of Heads of States and Government of the Economic Community of West Africa State (ECOWAS).

“This is undoubtedly a premium repose of confidence in the ability of Mr President who has only spent 41 days in office as Nigerian President to birth a new dawn of robust economic prosperity, stronger regional ties, solid liberal democracy among member states and an enduring security architecture to curb the waves of increasing threat of banditry and terrorism in the sub-region”.

Raji, a Certified Fellow International Professional Managers and Fellow Professional Managers Association, United Kingdom said further that “the major challenges confronting the regional bloc and proffered solutions were well encapsulated in the acceptance speech of the new Chairman. This, of course is an indication that Mr President knows the nitty gritty of the tasks ahead”.

”Therefore, It is my fervent prayer that Almighty Allah grant Mr President the mental and physical wherewithal to deliver excellently on his superlative blueprint for the regional body and the Nigerian nation in particular. Amen”, the statement concluded.
