Solewant showcases cutting-edge energy solutions at IATF 2025

Solewant Group, a Nigerian industrial solutions provider for the energy sector, is presenting its advanced technologies and wide-ranging portfolio at the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025) in Algiers, Algeria.

The exhibition, organised by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), has gathered innovative companies from across the continent, positioning the event as a hub for pan-African trade and collaboration.

Solewant’s stand at the SAFEX Building has drawn strong interest, including a visit by a delegation of senior Nigerian dignitaries. The delegation was led by former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and included the Federal Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, along with the Permanent Secretary, Ambassador Nura Abba Rimi.

During their tour, the officials engaged with Solewant executives and discussed the company’s contributions to Africa’s energy and infrastructure development.

Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Solomon Ewanehi, spoke about the company’s central role in advancing local content. He explained that Solewant has been closing gaps in technology, capacity, and industrial expertise through its operations in steel pipe manufacturing, pipeline coating, and specialised training for the energy workforce.

“Our commitment is not only to deliver world-class solutions,” Ewanehi said, “but also to strengthen indigenous capacity through training and technology transfer. We see Solewant as a vehicle for Africa’s self-reliance in energy and infrastructure.”

The group’s delegation to IATF 2025 includes executives from its five subsidiaries: Solewant Nigeria Limited (SNL), Field Joint Coatings Ltd (FJCL), Solewant Specialty Protective Coatings & Paints Ltd (SSPC), Pipe & Metals Industries Ltd (PMI), and Solewant Energy Training Institute (SETI).

By taking part in the trade fair, Solewant aims to secure new partnerships and expand export opportunities, reinforcing its position as a pan-African leader in industrial and energy solutions. Its participation also aligns with the goals of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), promoting regional trade integration and strengthening domestic supply chains across the continent.
