SIFAX Group has disclosed that it supported about 3,500 vulnerable Nigerians through a series of corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes executed between July and August 2025.

The interventions, carried out through its Ajoke Ayisat Afolabi Foundation (AAAF) in partnership with other organisations, targeted widows, children, persons with disabilities, and voluntary returnees from abroad.

In July alone, 3,083 people benefitted from different schemes, including healthcare services provided to 639 individuals in Lagos, Isade, and Zaria, as well as vocational training for 1,398 women, girls, and boys in tailoring, shoemaking, crocheting, and bag-making.

Other projects during the month involved training sessions for petty traders in Umuahia in preparation for an interest-free loan scheme, the empowerment of 10 traders in Zaria, the provision of a borehole in Agbelekale community, Lagos, and the distribution of relief materials to 750 voluntary returnees, organised in collaboration with the World Bank and the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI).

In August, SIFAX Group partnered with NIDSMET Services to sponsor skill acquisition training for 500 young people in Lagos across areas such as catering, confectionery, textile design, photography, event management, cosmetics, and other entrepreneurial ventures.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the training in Satellite Town, Lagos, the Group Head of Corporate Communications, Mr. Olumuyiwa Akande, said the company’s CSR agenda is anchored on philanthropy and sustainable economic empowerment.

Represented by Mr. Olatunde Adewola, he remarked: “At SIFAX Group, we measure success not only by our business achievements but also by the lives we impact and the opportunities we help to create.”

The Managing Director of NIDSMET Services, Mr. Olabiyi Oluwole, applauded the Group’s consistent interventions, noting that several graduates of the programme have since grown into successful entrepreneurs and job creators.

AAAF Coordinator, Mrs. Foluke Ademokun, reaffirmed the Foundation’s pledge to continue tackling poverty and uplifting disadvantaged groups across the country through scholarships, empowerment schemes, and long-term social investments.
