Oyetola’s civic engagement impactful — Oyintiloye

Special Adviser to Governor Adegboyega Oyetola on Civic Engagement, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye has said the governor’s Civic Engagement Framework has made indelible impacts in the general governance activities of the state in the last one year.

This is even as he said Governor Adegboyega Oyetola holds the magic wand propelling his zealous performance in the last one year, emphasising that the listening and discerning qualities of the governor are top-notch and encouraging.

Oyintiloye disclosed this during an interactive session in commemoration of his one year in office held at the Centre for Civic Engagement, Osogbo.

The Special Adviser commended the people-oriented governor for instituting Civic Engagement as a way of creating a niche for his administration in the areas of inclusive and participatory governance through routine engagements with the people, which have not only made the democratic credentials of his administration wax stronger but also endears him more to the masses.

Oyintiloye also underscored the giant strides of Oyetola’s Civic Engagement which is first of its kind, in the area of bridging the gap between government and the people in the state which has been hinged on series of engagement drives resting on the interface with strategic groups, communities and individuals to form public opinions which would help government formulate and implement policies that truly represent the actual needs and aspirations of the people.

He further accentuated that the tripod-strategy of Civic Engagement such as Community Outreach and Engagement, Advocacy and Enlightenment, as well as Security and Conflict Resolution has been a potent tool in the drive to bridge the gap between government and the people which has resulted in strong sense of belonging, trust and confidence of the masses in Oyetola’s administration.
