Outcome of Presidential, NASS elections not true reflection of Osun residents wish – APC

The spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Presidential Campaign Committee, PCC Osun State, Remi Omowaye has said that the outcome of the presidential and National Assembly elections held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 was not the true reflection of people’s wish.
It would be recalled that Osun APC had lost three Senatorial seats and nine House of Representatives to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the said general election.
Addressing journalists on Monday at the
Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Office in Osogbo, Osun State capital, Omowaye said that some members of the APC were denied the right to exercise their civic responsibility by political thugs suspected to working for PDP.
Omowaye further said that he threatened not to participate in the last general election, adding that in order not to be disenfranchised , he had to seek service of some security operatives who escorted him to his polling unit.
He commended the electorate who deemed it fit to come and vote for APC despite harassment and intimidation from the PDP thugs.
According to him, “On the day of election I received a lot of calls of the people being attacked and it did not happen only in Ilesa it happen across the state.
“Alot of our leaders were dealt with in a broad daylight in Osogbo on the day of the election, a lot of our leaders were harassed and beaten.
In Atakumosa East they told voters not to come out, the senatorial candidate of APC Honourable Israel Famurewa left his house to go and vote and called people leaving with him to come to the polling unit at the end of the day he was the only person that went to his polling unit and police has to escort him out of the town.
“I must say Presidential result is not true reflection will of the people of Osun.
