Omowaye further said that he threatened not to participate in the last general election, adding that in order not to be disenfranchised , he had to seek service of some security operatives who escorted him to his polling unit.
He commended the electorate who deemed it fit to come and vote for APC despite harassment and intimidation from the PDP thugs.
According to him, “On the day of election I received a lot of calls of the people being attacked and it did not happen only in Ilesa it happen across the state.
“Alot of our leaders were dealt with in a broad daylight in Osogbo on the day of the election, a lot of our leaders were harassed and beaten.
In Atakumosa East they told voters not to come out, the senatorial candidate of APC Honourable Israel Famurewa left his house to go and vote and called people leaving with him to come to the polling unit at the end of the day he was the only person that went to his polling unit and police has to escort him out of the town.
