Osun assembly affirms President Court of Appeal nomination in Osun

The Osun State House of Assembly, on Tuesday, confirmed Hon. Justice Wasiu Oladejo Akanbi as President of Court of Appeal in Osun State.

The Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola had recently forwarded the name of the nominee to the House.

The Speaker, Hon Timothy Owoeye, urged the nominee, in his capacity to move the state judiciary forward in his tenure and in his best to restore sanity to the judiciary.

In his remark, Owoeye said Justice Oladejo has demonstrated competency and capability.

He noted that the nominee has shown effectiveness and commitment to duties since years in service.

According to him, “The man has show commitment and efficiency to judiciary since.

“He had demonstrated competency, capability and humility to judiciary arm of government in Osun,” he added.

He urged Oyetola to proceed with swearing-in of Justice Wasiu Oladejo Akanbi as President of Customary Court of Appeal Osun house.
