Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has heavily knocked the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring that the opposition party is suffering from acute political depression after failing to halt his administration’s infrastructure drive across the state.

The governor’s remarks were contained in a press statement released on Saturday, by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed.

Reviewing his re-election campaign tour across nine local government areas, Adeleke expressed deep appreciation to the people of Osun for their massive support.

He affirmed that his administration’s major projects complied strictly with top engineering standards and the state’s local content policy.

The governor accused the previous APC administration of actively trying to stifle the state’s development by diverting over N350 billion in local government funds.

He noted that despite those financial roadblocks, his administration successfully completed and is now commissioning the infrastructure projects.

“Ever since the Osun APC failed to stop our developmental agenda, the party has fallen into disarray,” Adeleke stated.

“It suffers from acute political depression. Its leaders are quitting on a daily basis and defecting to Accord. But Osun people are jumping to the streets to welcome us wherever we go,” he added.

Ahead of the state’s governorship election next month, Adeleke charged residents to protect their mandates.

He urged voters to resist psychological warfare, ignore rigging rumors, and refuse to surrender their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) or National Identification Numbers (NIN) to unauthorized individuals.

“On August 15th, our votes, your votes, will count. Nobody can rig this election,” the governor said.

“Your vote will determine the winner. I task Osun people to ignore all the rumours and get ready to vote and defend their votes next month,” he concluded.
