Two persons, Isaiah Friday Ezekiel, 41, from Cross Rivers State and John Apata Koffi, 60, from Togo have been arrested by the Osun Amotekun corps.

The duo were arrested by the security outfit on Friday for impersonating police personnel and theft of a bag of cement at Eleweran Kajola Village Ile-Ife, Osun State.

According to the Amotekun Commander, Brigadier General Bashir Adewinmbi, in a statement on Saturday, both men were arrested after a complaint was lodged at Amotekun Ife command on the activities of the suspects by the residents of the area.

“The operatives of Amotekun swung into action immediately and arrested the culprits after they stole a bag of cement with the police uniform.

“The police uniform, police beret, iron toy gun, and charms were found in their possession,” Adewinmbi stated.

The suspects have been handed over to the police for subsequent investigation and interrogation.
