Ortom congratulates Wike, Utsev on inauguration as Ministers

The immediate past Governor of Benue State, Chief Samuel Ortom has congratulatesd Ezenwo Nyesom Wike and Professor Joseph Utsev on their appointment and inauguration as Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by President Bola Tinubu.

In a press statement signed by his media aide, Terver Akase, made available to Nigerian NewsDirect on Monday, Ortom stated that the former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike and Professor Utsev whom he knew personally as a friend in the case of Wike and a former appointee in the case of Utsev, will bring their wealth of experiences to bear on their new appointments.

He described Wike as a worthy ally who deepened the relationship between Rivers and Benue States, as well as stood by Benue people in difficult times.

The former Governor explained that as a dogged, reliable and seasoned administrator, Wike will bring the desired development to the Federal Capital Territory as Minister.

He equally believed that Professor Utsev who served under him as Commissioner for Water Resources and Environment has the requisite experience and capacity to excel as the Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation.

Ortom commended President Tinubu for finding Wike and Utsev worthy to serve in his cabinet, describing them as round pegs in round holes needed for addressing challenges being faced by Nigerians.
