Omoluabi Caucus: Osun APC warn members to be cautious
The All Progressives Congress, APC in Osun State has enjoined its members and supporters to keep the newly formed group, Omoluabi Progressives at arms length.
Osun APC also called on its members to be wary of the antics of the leader of the group and former governor of the state, Rauf Aregbesola.
News Men recalls that Aregbesola who is the immediate past Minister of Interior on Tuesday in Ilesa launched Omoluabi Progressives, a new group within the Osun APC.
In a statement signed by the Osun APC chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, the party hinted that the Aregbesola group is a mere attention-seeking charade created to give false hope for his blind followers.
According to Lawal, “Is it because Aregbesola has lost at the Federal level, Lagos and Osun States that he has resorted to lightening the gullible ones with pap in Osun State?
“It is worthwhile to remind Aregbesola at this juncture that those he sent to the PDP government and are paying second fiddle are now regretting their actions and inactions.
“It is a pity that the former Osun State governor is not in tune with the fact that the people of the state are now wiser and they no longer trust him.
“Aregbesola should know that the Osun State APC of today is intact unlike those inglorious years when he was dictating the pace as the governor, the state party chairman and the Speaker of the state House of Assembly.
“It should be known to Aregbesola that the Osun politics of the APC extraction of today is far better than what it used to be when he would be the sole contributor at party meetings.”
Lawal implored Aregbesola to take a rest in order to be in tune with the political reality of the day.
The Osun APC has maintained continually that loyalists of Rauf Aregbesola were instrumental to the electoral downfall of the party during the gubernatorial and general elections.
The party also maintained that members devoted to Aregbesola and the defunct The Osun Progressives, TOP that worked for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP were now regretting their decision.
