NCF appoints new director of communications, advocacy

The Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) has appointed Mr Kunle Olawoyin, as its new Director of Communications, Policy and Advocacy.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Head, Communications, and Corporate Branding, NCF, Mr Olusomi Oduguwa, on Monday in Lagos.
Oduguwa said Olawoyin would lead its communications, policy and advocacy agenda in support of NCF’s 2025–2030 strategy.
According to him, Olawoyin, who previously served as the Head of the Media and Public Affairs Unit at NCF from 2009 to 2015, will work with various teams to strengthen the organisation’s public voice and influence environmental policy outcomes.
He added that Olawoyin would help shape national and continental narratives on climate change, biodiversity conservation, and environmental pollution.
“Olawoyin is a seasoned communications and advocacy professional with extensive experience managing strategic campaigns and influencing policy at national and international levels.
“Before his new appointment, Olawoyin served as Media and Communications Officer at Oxfam GB and Oxfam International,” he said.
The Director-General of NCF, Mr Joseph Onoja, expressed confidence in Olawoyin’s ability to deliver in his new role.
“I have no doubt about his capacity to deliver on this new challenge because of his depth of experience in communications, advocacy, and campaigns, combined with his prior knowledge of NCF,” Onoja said.
He added that NCF, as a leader in environmental conservation in Nigeria, required committed and highly skilled individuals to increase the visibility of its impact, strengthen public engagement, and enhance policy influence.
