NASD OTC market rose by 2.14% WoW to close at N515.99bn

NASD OTC Securities Exchange Market closed on a negative note Year-Till-Date (YTD) as the market recorded a decrease in performance.

NASD Security Index Year to date returns decreased by 2.12per cent. Total volume traded Year-to-Date stands at 40,103,942 units in 346 deals and total Value traded is N1.2trillion.

NASD OTC Security Index (NSI) closed last week with a positive movement in NSI against the previous week. The NSI closed the week at 725.91 points.

In addition, week 12 saw NASD Investors gain N10.79 billion in value. NASD OTC Market capitalization closed at N515.99 billion compared to N505.2 billion on Friday, March 19, 2021, resulting from a positive movement of prices.

There was a 1044.15% increase in the total value traded during the week as week 12 saw NASD Investors trade a total of N459.95million in value compared to N40.2million in the previous week. Total trade activity for the year is valued at N1.21billion.

Total volume traded during the week was 2,775,595 units compared to 2,297,035 units in the previous week leading to a 20.83per cent increase in trade volume compared to week 11. Total volume traded for the year is 40,103,942 units.

The week closed with Niger Delta Exploration & Production Plc  ranking top among the four most traded securities by volume and Friesland Campina Wamco Nigeria Plc as the fourth most traded stock by volume traded in the week.

Top traded securities by values was Niger Delta Exploration & Production Plc ranking top among the four most traded securities by value and Friesland Campina Wamco Nigeria Plc stood as the fourth most traded Security by value for the week.

Advancers for last week was VFD Group Plc, which currently holds a Market Capitalization of N14.30 billion closed the week at N168.79 representing a 46.03 percent increase from the previous close of N115.58.

Friesland Campina Wamco Nigeria Plc, which currently holds a Market Capitalization of N127.80 Billion closed the week at N130.90 representing an 4.30 percent increase from the previous close of N125.50.

Central Securities Clearing System Plc, which currently holds a Market Capitalization of N73.55 billion closed the week at N14.71 representing a 1.10 percent increase from the previous close of N14.55.

Niger Delta Exploration & Production Plc, which currently holds a Market Capitalization of N54.08 Billion closed the week at N298.15 representing a 0.38 percent increase from the previous close of N297.00.
