Nasarawa lawmaker pledges support for groups promoting good governance
The Chairman of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on information, Mr Mohammed Omadefu, has said he will continue to support any meaningful political group that promotes good governance in the country.
Omadefu stated this while receiving the state chapter of the APC Ambassadors for Good Governance (AAGG) in his office in Lafia on Wednesday.
According to him, good governance promotes peace and improves the living standard of the people, hence his decision to support any political group in that direction.
“I want to appreciate you for the visit and to assure you of my support.
“I will continue to support any meaningful political group that will enhance good governance in the country.
“That will also promote the policies and programmes of the APC-led governments at all levels,” he said.
The chairman highlighted the good leadership style of Gov. Abdullahi Sule, across all facets of life in the state.
He enjoined the group to take serious note of what the APC Government in the state was doing and inform the public adequately.
He commended the group for its vision aimed at promoting good governance and educating the electorate on the activities of the APC-led government in the state and urged it to sustain the tempo.
Omadefu also urged the ambassadors to take stock of the performance of APC governments at national, state and local government levels and educate the people about them.
Responding, the state Coordinator of the group, Mohammed Osofonu, said the visit was to familiarise the group with the chairman and to intimate him with their missions, activities and programmes.
Osofunu commended the chairman’s performance and encouraged him to sustain the tempo.
