Manchester United have finalized the acquisition of highly-regarded Uruguayan midfielder Manuel Ugarte in a deal valued at up to €60 million. Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the transfer in a post on X on Tuesday, calling it a “done deal.”

Romano stated, “Manuel Ugarte to Manchester United, here we go! The deal has been sealed between the clubs after personal terms were agreed upon in July. The final package will be €50 million fixed fee plus €10 million in add-ons. Ugarte will travel to Manchester, as he exclusively wanted United and United exclusively wanted him. It’s done.”

This announcement follows discussions earlier this summer when super-agent Jorge Mendes traveled to England to negotiate the potential transfer with Manchester United. The Red Devils have been engaged in talks with Paris Saint-Germain throughout the summer as manager Erik ten Hag aims to strengthen his midfield options ahead of the new season.
