Man flees abroad over refusal to circumcise daughter, threat to life
A 38 year old man, Rahmon Adeosun, is currently in a fix over threat to his life by the head of traditionalists, Chief Agbolu, over refusal to circumcised his daughter.
Speaking to journalists, Adeosun’s friend in Nigeria who craved anonymity because of fear of being attacked, stated that Chief Agbolu had taken over his friend’s personal properties and every properties he inherited from his late father, Musbaudeen Adeosun.
According to him, despite fleeing abroad with his daughter and wife, Chief Agbolu, wanted them to return with their daughter for the circumcision, and also they will be punished for running away with the daughter as when the circumcision is due before they could return his seized properties.
The source said, “Chief Agbolu has taken over Rahmon’s inheritance, after fleeing abroad with his family over refusal for his daughter’s circumcision. His family wants him to come back with his daughter so that they can circumcise her, before they can return his properties to him.
“Rahmon who was staying in Lagos before he fled Nigeria also has inheritance in some parts of Ogun State from his late Father Alhaji Adeosun that his family members led by Chief Agbolu, confiscated and threatened to kill him if he ever requested for it without the circumcision.
“Rahmon and his wife have gone through emotional torture because they refused to bring their daughter. Because their lives were threatened, it made them flee Nigeria and they fear the torture of the innocent girl if they ever return to Nigeria,” Rahmon’s confidant stated.
