Lagos council renames old Ipaja Road

Executive chairman of Agege local government area, Alhaji Ganiyu Egunjob has renamed the popular old Ipaja Road in Agege after Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu,  the National leader of All Progressive Congress (APC).

According to him, all stakeholders and councilors resolved to renamed the old Ipaja Road as Asiwaju Bola Tinubu Ahmed as a form of gratitude to his immense contribution to the growth and development in the Nigerian economy, while Dopemu Road is to be renamed after Governor Sanwo-olu.

Egunjobi who made this announcement in Lagos during the official inauguration of Agege Pen-Cinema flyover said, “Tinubu is a skillful leader who seizes the apportunity to change things for better.”

He maintained that, “One cannot successfully lead another person until one can lead oneself, this is because a leader is not just a mentor he is also a model, Asiwaju is not just a leader but an ‘icon’ who has maintained this path of steady progress in the society in all ramification.”

He stressed that, the failure of a leader to inspire, motivate or bring out the best in others is a pointer to his failure to lead himself.

While the people of Agege and Orile-Agege, Ipaja praised Senator Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who laid the foundation of the developmental strides being recorded in Lagos at the moment.
