I Echo (Humble Vandalism) and Diving Inyang Titus (Heavenly Descent) were named Finalists.

The prize is named in honour of Nigerian publisher, writer, and editor, Kukogho Iruesiri Samson, whose grassroots devotion to emerging poets has significantly impacted the Nigerian literary scene.
