I’ll continue to count on your support – Tinubu
President Bola Tinubu says he will continue to count on support of Nigerians that voted for him and those that did not.
The President said this at the Ansarudeen Society of Nigeria (ADS) Mosque on Friday in Surulere, Lagos State.
The ADS is celebrating its 100 years of establishment in the country on Dec. 21, 1923.
The President said that since assumption of office he has taken the destiny thrusted on him by God to serve Nigerians.
”I thank the Ansarudeen for its support for me and the governor during the election. I do not take it for granted and it serves as stimuli for us in government to be focused.
”We are committed to enthrone a better society for our citizens irrespective of ethnic, religious or geographic differences. The various policies already in place are expected to bring great succour to our people.
”We know their pains and we are addressing it holistically. Nigerians should be patient for the benefits to start manifesting.
”It is instructive that the Ansarudeen has attained a 100 years through stability, sustainability and systemic strategy to maintain it’s mission and vision.
“This is a testimonial to what focused planning can achieve in a society,” Tinubu said.
Earlier, Sheik Abdulrahman Ahmed, National Missioner of ADS, urged political office holders to continue to give priority to the needs of the people who voted for them.
He said that there were a lot of expectations from the people that leaders must fulfill , adding that it’s the responsibility placed on them by God.
”In a similar vein, I call on the ordinary citizens to continue to obey constitutional authority and pray for them.
“Praying for leaders is a means of attracting positive things to our lives. Let’s continue to pray for our leaders and we the religious leaders will continue to do our part to the glory of God,” he said.
