Heirs Energies, Renaissance Africa forge alliance to boost indigenous oil, gas development

Heirs Energies Limited and Renaissance Africa Energy Company have reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing Nigeria’s oil and gas sector through strategic collaboration rooted in indigenous leadership and innovation.

The pledge was made during a visit by Heirs Energies CEO, Osa Igiehon, to the leadership team of Renaissance Africa, led by Managing Director Tony Attah. The meeting marked the first formal engagement between the two companies following Renaissance’s recent transition and successful deal completion.

During the discussion, Igiehon underscored the importance of Nigerian-owned firms taking the lead in shaping the country’s energy future.

“We are pleased to connect with Renaissance’s leadership and commend their successful transition. As indigenous companies, we carry a collective responsibility to advance the industry. Our mindset and approach are shifting, we are driven by a commitment to Nigerian excellence and to achieving exceptional production growth,” he said.

Igiehon also spoke to the alignment of values and vision between the two firms, describing their relationship as one of “natural synergy.”

“Heirs Energies and Renaissance are well aligned. We anticipate deeper collaboration that will not only benefit our respective organisations but also help redefine Nigeria’s energy sector. Together, we have the capacity and the resolve to boost production and lead the innovation necessary for positioning Nigeria as a global energy player,” he added.

Renaissance Africa’s Managing Director, Tony Attah, expressed optimism about the partnership, calling it a meaningful step toward their shared ambition for the industry.

“We are excited to engage with Heirs Energies. This partnership reflects our commitment to working with like-minded indigenous organisations as we strive to increase production and drive growth across the entire energy value chain,” Attah said.

He further stated that Renaissance is focused on delivering transformational change across the sector, and working with partners like Heirs Energies is key to realising that objective.

Energy sector stakeholders have welcomed the collaboration, describing it as a signal of a new era of home-grown capacity and innovation in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.

They noted that both companies offer complementary strengths and a shared vision, positioning them to jointly increase production, foster sustainable practices that support host communities, build local expertise, enhance operational efficiency, and compete more effectively in global energy markets.
