Gunmen kidnap wives of Local Govt Chairman in Jigawa

The Jigawa State Police Command has confirmed that unknown gunmen numbering seven on motorcycles carrying AK-47 rifles stormed the house of Kiyawa local government chairman, Alh Nasiru Ahmed and kidnapped two of his wives

SP Shisu Adam, Spokesman of the Jigawa Police Command said that the gunmen took hostage Sabura Haruna, aged 30 and Hajia Mubaraka Haruna, aged 35.

SP Shisu explained that the police have combed the area all in an effort to rescue the victims taken hostage.

Also, in Roni local Government last week a group of armed men stormed Roni village collecting two motorcycles and handsets while several people were beaten by the suspected robbers.
