Gov. Ikpeazu is health friendly — Diaspora Commission

Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has been extolled for his commitment in providing health care facilities and making sure the Child mortality and morbidity in Abia is reduced to the barest minimum.

The Special Adviser to the Governor and the Director General Abia State diaspora Commission Dr. Mrs Ngozi Erondu, made this known during the flag-off and distribution of hospital and medical equipment provided by PROJECT CARE, to select primary health care centres in Abia State.

Dr. Erondu who described the Governor as health friendly, said the Commission would not have achieved the feat without Governor Ikpeazu’s commitment in making sure that all the finance needed to ship the hospital equipment which was to the tune of 400 dollars per container were provided.

She also appreciated the Governor’s visit to PROJECT CURE Office in United States of America which she said gave birth to the supply.

She appreciated the partner agency PROJECT Cure for the collaboration.

Also speaking the Executive Secretary of Abia State Primary Health Agency, Dr. Chinagozi Adindu, said Governor Ikpeazu’s approach to the health sector has reduced child mortality and morbidity in Abia has reduced to 80%.

He called on Abians to continue to support the laudable initiative and achievements of Ikpeazu’s government.
