Enugu: New NCoS Controller assumes duty, warns against indiscipline
Mrs Prisca Oku has officially assumed the position of Controller of the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS) Enugu State Command, calling on all personnel to be diligent in fulfilling their responsibilities.
Oku took over from the former Controller, Mr Nicholas Obiako, who has been appointed as the Acting Zonal Coordinator of NCoS, Zone M, Enugu.
In her address to the officers, Oku requested their full support and cooperation to continue building on the achievements of the Command. She warned against absenteeism and lack of seriousness in performing their duties, urging all personnel to be conscious of their roles in ensuring the success of the Command.
“I urge all officers to be hardworking and duty-conscious at all times, so that we can continue to achieve success. When you are disciplined and diligent in your work, everything around you will run smoothly,” Oku stated.
Previously, Obiako expressed his gratitude to the officers for their loyalty during his tenure and encouraged them to extend the same cooperation to the new controller.
The handing-over ceremony, including the signing of official notes and the exchange of the command flag, was witnessed by senior officers of the Command.
