Dangote Petroleum Refinery has exported 476,000 metric tonnes (MT) of refined petroleum products across nine cargoes in August, with shipments bound for markets in Africa, Europe, and Asia, according to shipping data reviewed by Petroleumprice.ng.

The shipments comprised fuel oil, aviation turbine kerosene (Jet A-1), automotive gas oil (AGO), and premium motor spirit (PMS), underscoring the facility’s growing footprint in the international products market.

Jet A-1 accounted for the largest share of the exports at 172,000 MT across four cargoes. The vessel ASP Cedar transported 44,000 MT to Jorf Lasfar; Cape Olympic moved 44,000 MT to an unspecified destination; Torm Grace carried 40,000 MT, also to an unspecified destination; and Kriti Ruby delivered 44,000 MT to the Isle of Grain in the United Kingdom.

Fuel oil exports totaled 144,000 MT in a single shipment transported by the Nordic Breeze, bound for Singapore.

The refinery also exported 84,000 MT of AGO in August. PIS Paragon delivered 44,000 MT to Lomé, while AMIF transported an additional 40,000 MT to the same port.

PMS exports totaled 76,000 MT, with Cristallina conveying 38,000 MT to the wider West African region and Seafriend delivering 38,000 MT to Lomé.

In total, the three cargoes destined for Lomé represented 122,000 MT, consisting of 84,000 MT of AGO and 38,000 MT of PMS.

Other confirmed destinations included Singapore, Jorf Lasfar, and the Isle of Grain, with two of the shipments lacking specified end destinations in the records.

The 476,000 MT total reflects nine distinct export voyages identified in the data reviewed by Petroleumprice.ng, excluding domestic deliveries and offshore transshipments via the Stellar where classifications did not explicitly confirm export status.

The increased cargo movement highlights Dangote Refinery’s dual role in satisfying domestic fuel requirements while serving export markets.
