Cult group kills man, 17-year-old son in Anambra

Gunmen suspected to be members of a dreaded Neo-Black Movement of Africa cult group otherwise known as ‘Aye Confraternity’ have shot and killed Mr Gabriel Johnson Peter and his son in their home in Onitsha, Anambra State, Southeast of Nigeria.

The sad event took place on October 29, 2024.

The suspected cultists were reported to have stormed the home of the victims at about 12.30a.m, forced their way into the house and shot the duo dead.

It was reliably gathered that the murder of Peter and his 17 year-old son was not unconnected with the several threats he had received from the cult group before and after he left his place of work in Ogun State, according to the wife of the deceased.

It was further learnt that before his demise, Peter had expressed grave concerns over the safety of his life (and his family) as he was receiving threat calls from unidentified persons, warning that he would be killed.

Peter was one of the four kidnap victims rescued by the police from their abductors in August 2023, in Ogun State.
