Cholera claims 3 lives, others hospitalised in Osun

No fewer than three persons have been confirmed dead while three others were hospitalised in Ede, Osun State over what seems to be cholera outbreak.
There was a palpable tension at Oke Gada area, Ede town on Monday as it was rumoured that the victims, who were mostly Hausa beggars, were allegedly killed by food poisoning.
However, the Sarki Hausa of Ede, Alhaji Gambo Ibrahim revealed that the strange death was caused by Cholera outbreak in the midst of the beggars.
He also confirmed that the three people in tge hospital were diagnosed with Cholera disease.
The spokesperson of Osun State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola also confirmed the incident, adding that investigation is in progress.
