CAS eulogize late retired AIR Commodore Dan Suleiman

The Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Oladayo Amao has eulogized the late Air Commodore Dan Suleiman (rtd), whose remains was laid to rest in his country home in Guyuk Local Government Area of Adamawa State on Friday, 17 February 2023.

The CAS described Air Commodore Dan Suleiman as a man of valour, integrity and achiever who will be missed by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), for his contributions to the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the force. According to him, “We are very proud and highly honoured to have the late statesman as one of the founding fathers of our great Service”. He assured that the legacies of the late senior citizen will continue to remain within the NAF and the Nation.

Air Marshal Amao maintained that Air Commodore Dan Suleiman’s contributions to the development of the NAF will also remains a focal point of reference as far as the history of the Force is concern. “As a seasoned fighter pilot, military strategic leader, Air Commodore Dan Suleiman contributed immensely to the solid foundation for the development of air power in the NAF.” He asserted.

He admitted that the veteran’s contributions to NAF operations in fulfillment of Nigeria’s national security imperatives were enduring and will be remembered.

The Air Chief sympathised with the family of Air Commodore Dan Suleiman, stressed that the late retired senior officer displayed admirable wisdom, diligence and dedication to the service of humanity during his impactful sojourn on earth. “For this reason, we celebrate the selfless service, quality life and glorious exit of our amiable Air Commodore,” he added.

The CAS noted that Air Commodore Dan Suleiman was a confident, professional, administrator par excellence and courageous leader whose demise will spur officers, airmen and airwomen of the NAF to rededicate themselves to God and service to the nation. He reassured the family of NAF’s continuous support, particularly in this trying times. The Late Air Commodore Dan Suleiman died on 1 February 2023, at the age of 80.
