Annie Idibia thanks supporters as she returns to social media
Annie Idibia, the estranged wife of music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has expressed her heartfelt appreciation to those who have stood by her. She shared a message of gratitude in an Instagram post on Thursday.
Recall that Annie reappeared on social media nearly two months after 2Baba publicly confirmed their separation.
In her first post since her return, she acknowledged the unwavering support from her family, friends, and fans. However, she notably signed off with her full name, Annie Uwana Macaulay, omitting ‘Idibia’ from her signature, despite still retaining it in her Instagram bio.
She wrote: “To my family, to my friends who have been there for me, the support system I have now, all my wonderful family members here and across the world—God bless you for the immense love you have shown me.
“I deeply appreciate every single one of you and do not take any of it for granted. May the universe always be in your favour. God bless you all. With love, Annie Uwana Macaulay.”
Annie’s marriage to 2Baba, with whom she shares two children, came to an end in January 2025 when the singer publicly announced their separation.
Shortly after, 2Baba made headlines again when he proposed to his new fiancée, Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.
