President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered security and intelligence agencies to hunt down the perpetrators of Monday’s bloody attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The early-morning assault resulted in the death of about 30 residents including women and children and left several homes burnt to the ground.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu condemned the attack, describing it as a barbaric, cowardly, and unprovoked act of terror against defenceless people.
The President warned that criminal elements seeking to disrupt the peace and stability restored to Kaduna State in recent times will be brought to justice.
“I have directed the Armed Forces, police, and relevant intelligence agencies to intensify operations across the affected areas to track down the perpetrators swiftly and restore normalcy to the region,” President Tinubu declared.
Extending his deepest condolences to Governor Uba Sani, the bereaved families, and the people of Kaduna State, the President reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to standing by the affected communities.
He assured Nigerians that his administration remains resolute in neutralising criminal networks nationwide through enhanced security infrastructure and better-equipped personnel.
President Tinubu also appealed to local communities to support security personnel by sharing actionable intelligence to aid early response and ongoing operations.
