President Bola Tinubu on Monday presided over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) at the State House in Abuja, marking the council’s first session in more than two months.
Before the commencement of deliberations, the President administered the oath of office to two newly appointed Federal Commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
The commissioners, Amina Gamawa, representing Bauchi State, and Abdullahi Mukhtar, representing Kaduna State, were sworn in during a brief ceremony held at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa.
Speaking, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, disclosed that the meeting’s agenda included the swearing-in of newly appointed Federal Commissioners of the National Population Commission (NPC).
The FEC meeting was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, cabinet ministers and other top government officials.
The council is expected to consider a number of policy and administrative matters during the meeting as the Federal Government continues to implement its programmes and reforms.
Further details of the deliberations and decisions reached at the meeting are expected to be released after the session.
