The Ogun State House of Assembly, through its Committee on Finance and Appropriation, will on Monday, 31 August 2026, commence the appraisal of the 2026 budget performance of government ministries, departments, and agencies in the state.
The exercise, according to a press release by the Clerk and Head of Legislative Service, Mr. Sakiru Adebakin, is aimed at assessing the second quarter (January–June) and will run from Monday, 31 August, through Tuesday, 8 September 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m. prompt.
The release stated that the exercise is part of the constitutional responsibilities of the legislative arm to assess the level of compliance of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) with the State 2026 Appropriation Law, with a view to ensuring value for government resources in policy and project implementation.
The statement therefore enjoined all heads of MDAs to submit all relevant documents and attend the exercise in line with the schedule previously sent to them.
