NewsDirect Global Concepts Ltd, publishers of Nigerian NewsDirect and owners of NewsDirect TV and NND Insights have announced the appointment of five distinguished professionals to its Board of Directors, effective May 8, 2026.
The new Directors include: Pastor Laju Iren, Prince Aderemi Adekile (SAN), Dr Adekunle Aderemi, Mr Felix Eribo and Dr Bunmi Bajomo.
Commenting on the appointments, the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of NewsDirect Global Concepts Ltd, Prince Mathew Adesegun Ibiyemi, warmly welcomed the new members to the board.

She brings a wealth of corporate finance expertise and strategic planning acumen to the table. With a proven track record of executive leadership across reputable financial institutions, she specializes in transformational growth, capital mobilization and risk management. Her visionary approach will guide NewsDirect’s investment strategies in an increasingly competitive media market.
Pastor Laju Iren brings a powerful combination of mainstream journalism experience and modern multimedia mastery to the board. A former journalist at Vanguard Newspaper, she has transitioned into a highly successful creative entrepreneur as the founder of Laju Iren Films, notably producing acclaimed titles such as Onobiren. Alongside her impact as an accomplished author, she serves as the Resident Pastor of Celebration Church International (CCI), Lagos Island. Her deep roots in print media, coupled with her proven track record in independent film production, will be invaluable as NewsDirect aggressively expands its portfolio.
Prince Aderemi Adekile (SAN) elevates the legal and corporate governance architecture of the board with his prestigious status as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN). A distinguished partner at the frontline commercial law firm Royal Heritage, his vast experience spans corporate law, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance. Beyond his legal practice, Prince Adekile is a versatile entrepreneur with diverse investments across key sectors, including the ownership of educational institutions and a premier private security outfit. His dual perspective as a top-tier legal mind and an active business owner ensures that the media group’s strategic expansions are backed by rigorous institutional integrity and commercial foresight.
Mr. Felix Eribo, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) strengthens the board with his deep financial expertise and extensive background in corporate governance across vital sectors of the Nigerian economy. An accountant by training, he currently serves as a Director on the board of Masters Energy Group, one of the Nigeria’s leading conglomerates and emerging payments company, Olive Pay. His oversight will play a pivotal role in optimizing revenue models, navigating fintech integrations, and ensuring the long-term commercial sustainability of the NewsDirect Media Group.
Dr. Adekunle Aderemi, infuses the board with a formidable combination of high-level academic leadership and administrative excellence. He currently serves as the Rector of the Owu College of Management and Technology (OWUTECH) and the Registrar-General of the Institute of Criminology and Strategic Studies (ICSS). His background in management, educational administration, and human capital development makes him a vital asset to the company’s long-term trajectory.
