BUA Foods Plc Shareholders approve ₦504bn dividend payout at 5th AGM

20 Jul 2026

Shareholders of BUA Foods Plc have overwhelmingly approved a record-breaking dividend payment of ₦504 billion for the 2025 financial year.

The approval was the focal point of the company’s 5th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on July 15, 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.

This payout translates to a whopping ₦28.00 per ordinary share of 50 kobo, substantially rewarding investors following a highly lucrative financial year.

The dividend distribution was made possible by an extraordinary 95% growth in BUA Foods’ Profit After Tax, which soared to ₦518.4 billion for the year ended December 31, 2025.

This bottom-line expansion was supported by a 16% rise in top-line revenue, which closed at ₦1.77 trillion.

During the meeting, the board confirmed that the massive dividend payout directly reflects the company’s corporate resilience, disciplined market execution, and formidable position within the sub-Saharan consumer goods sector.

Beyond the dividend approval, the shareholders received the company’s Audited Financial Statements and ratified the re-election of key directors, including the Chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, and Oluyemisi Lowo-Adesola.

With its total asset base expanding by 27% to ₦1.39 trillion, the management reiterated its focus on the future. BUA Foods continues to channel heavy investments into capacity expansion and supply chain optimization to guarantee regional food security while sustaining long-term, high-yield returns for its capital providers.
