Africa Prudential Plc declares ₦2.4bn PBT

20 Jul 2026

Africa Prudential Plc has announced its unaudited financial results for the half-year ended June 30, 2026, delivering a a Profit Before Tax (PBT) of ₦2.407 billion.

This represents an outstanding 89% increase compared to the ₦1.272 billion recorded in the corresponding period of 2025.

The company’s performance for the period was largely driven by an aggressive diversification strategy into technology-driven business solutions alongside significantly enhanced investment income.

This bottom-line growth filtered positively into the net earnings, with the Profit After Tax (PAT) closing strong at ₦1.588 billion, while gross profit also saw a significant lift to close at ₦670.7 million.

The growth was well-supported across the company’s core income streams. Revenue generated from contracts with customers for the six-month period rose to ₦742.3 million, up from the ₦498.9 million managed in the previous year.

Concurrently, the firm’s interest income experienced steady growth to close the half-year at ₦3.45 billion. Reflecting this across-the-board improvement, both basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) virtually doubled, climbing to 40 Kobo from the 22 Kobo reported in H1 2025.

A closer look at the financial disclosures reveals the clear success of Africa Prudential’s strategic transformation from a traditional registrar into a highly diversified digital technology and investment management entity. By optimizing its product offerings and aggressively scaling its digital services, the firm has managed to significantly shield itself from ongoing macroeconomic volatility while continuing to deliver robust, high-yield returns to its investors.
