The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 Ogun State election, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, on Wednesday called on party leaders and members in the Ogun West Senatorial District to close ranks, embrace new entrants, and intensify grassroots mobilization ahead of the governorship poll.
Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, made the call during the Ogun West APC Stakeholders’ Consultative Meeting held at the Asade Agunloye Pavilion, Empire Ground, Ilaro.
He emphasized that the party’s continued success depends on unity, inclusiveness, and collective commitment.
The meeting, which was attended by party leaders and members from Imeko-Afon, Ipokia, Ado-Odo/Ota, Yewa North, and Yewa South Local Government Areas, was convened to strengthen internal cohesion and deepen engagement among stakeholders.
Speaking at the gathering, the senator urged party leaders to ensure that new members joining the APC from other political platforms are fully integrated into the party’s structures, stressing that every committed individual has a role to play.
According to him, “The strength of our party lies in our unity, not in our differences. As our party continues to grow, we must open our doors and hearts to those who have chosen to join us. Every genuine member who embraces the ideals of the APC deserves equal respect and an opportunity to contribute.”
“Let our guiding principle be, ‘Don’t leave anybody behind,’ because every member has a role to play in building a stronger party. We must put aside personal interests, avoid divisions, and work together with one purpose to deliver good governance, secure greater victories for our people, and ensure the success of ‘Operation Deliver Your Polling Unit’.”
Among those present at the meeting were the APC Apex Leader in Ogun West, Muftau Ajibola; the party’s deputy governorship candidate, Kudirat Abiodun Adegunwa-Balogun; Ogun State Deputy Governor, Noimot Salako-Oyedele; Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Tunji Alausa; Lai Taiwo; and a former governorship candidate, Adekunle Akinlade.
Other attendees included former Speakers of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Suraj Adekunbi and Olakunle Oluomo; the APC Ogun West senatorial candidate, Jimoh Ojugbele; alongside various party chieftains and government officials.
The consultative meeting forms part of Adeola’s ongoing engagement with party leaders and stakeholders across Ogun West as the APC intensifies its preparations for the 2027 governorship election in Ogun State.
