Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s performance, courage, and vision set him apart from opposition leaders.
Speaking live on Tuesday during Channels Television’s flagship political program, Politics Today, Governor Sule dismissed criticisms of the administration, insisting that Nigerians should evaluate political contenders based on verifiable achievements rather than political or religious sentiment.
Responding to questions on why voters should choose the Tinubu-Shettima administration over candidates such as Peter Obi or Atiku Abubakar, the governor argued that comparing the President with key rivals ahead of the 2027 elections is like comparing day and night.
“It’s like day and night; you cannot even compare,” Sule said.
“If you look at the record of this President, if you look at the courage of this President, if you look at the performance and foresight, and what has happened in the last three years, none of these people you have called has not held a position before,” he added.
Governor Sule further maintained that significant progress has been recorded even in complex sectors like national security under the current service chiefs, adding that critics often overlook major economic and social milestones achieved by the government.
He pointed to key structural reforms under the administration, such as the operationalization of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) to support tertiary students nationwide, alongside unprecedented expansion on the Nigerian Exchange driven by critical monetary reforms.
The governor added that massive nationwide infrastructure projects, which many previously thought were impossible to execute, are now becoming a reality across several regions of the country.
“Bank on performance, courage, and vision. Look at what is happening in the area of our economy and what has happened in the capital market. A lot of people will tell you that some of these infrastructure projects were a dream they never thought would happen. So when you look at these records, there is simply no comparison,” he said.
