Access Bank to release audited results by September

The management of Access Bank Plc has announced that its audited half year ended June 30, 2021 will be released on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) by September 10, 2021.

The Company secretary, Access Bank, Sunday Ekwochi in a statement on Thursday said, “Access Bank wishes to notify the investing public and NGX that due to ongoing strategic business combinations across jurisdictions and the need to obtain regulatory approval, the release of the Group’s 2021 audited interim financial statements could ne delayed beyond the regulatory due date of August 29, 2021.

“In view of the foregoing, NGX has approved an extension of time to publish the results. Accordingly, Access Bank expect to publish the results on or before September 10, 2021.

“The Bank’s insiders are hereby remained that the earlier declared closed period in respect of transaction in the Bank’s securities remains in place until 24 hours after the release of the results.”

The company’s share price rose by 1.11 per cent or N0.10 to close at N9.00 per share on Thursday.
