Abuja Investment partners Urban Shelter on modernizing UTC, Area 7 Shopping Complex

….inaugurates Redevelopment Committee

In a bid to enhance a befitting outlook and construct World-class markets within the Abuja metropolis , the management of Abuja Investment Company Limited (AICL) is partnering ‘Urban Shelter’ on redevelopment of UTC and Area 7 Shopping Complex.

Speaking during the inauguration session held at the AICL Boardroom on Thursday, the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of AICL, Abubakar Sani Paye stated that the essence of inaugurating the Central Committee is to reposition the two markets with the necessary facilities that will attract more customers.

He said, “The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has directed us to redevelop the markets into a modern standard considering the fact that both UTC shopping Complex and Garki Area 7 market are located in the heart of the metropolis.

“We’re inaugurating this committee to ensure a high-level cooperation that will capture the interest of every trader in the market for a better atmospheric business activities.

“We will ensure the quality of the projects without compromising so that visitors into the markets will appreciate the environment and we want to assure all stakeholders to dialogue when necessary as this will benefit everybody.

The General Manager Corporate Services of Urban Shelter, Mr. Francis Olorunfemi reiterated the members of the inaugurated team of a collaborative approach.

He expressed that they are flexible and open to traders for dialogue to achieve a benefiting structures for the markets.

“When there is confusion always open up and we will surely resolve whatever complaints from the traders amicably.

“We are lucky to be the most preferred developer of the UTC shopping Complex and Area 7 market. We are pledging to deliver beyond expectation as we have done it before in many edifices.

“We are the one that developed the popular Garki Ultramodern Market and people are happy with the work there. We are also the one developing the Apo Market settlement which we are partnering with AMAC and it’s ongoing successfully to handover by this year ending.”

The representatives of both UTC and Area 7 Markets have assured the committee of synergy to achieve the execution of the projects.
